Trace ‘N Chase proudly represents Greece at 3×3 Red Bull Half Court World Final!

For the first time in basketball history, the Pyramids of Giza played host to the hoops community as the world’s biggest 3×3 streetball tournament held court to crown the second Red Bull Half Court World Final champions from September 30th to October 1st!

All participating teams had the opportunity to practice with renowned basketball personalities “Lethal Shooter” and Dušan Bulut!

E7FF075A 3B97 4D0F 82CF 78A2CBAF5AD1Chris Matthews, also known as “Lethal Shooter”, is the most sought-after shooting coach in the world. Chris has had the privilege of working with numerous NBA and WNBA athletes to perfect their shot while prior to becoming a professional shooting coach he played basketball internationally in Canada, Russia, and China and collegiate basketball at St. Bonaventure and Washington State University after graduating from National Christian Academy in Maryland. Matthews has set countless shooting records throughout his career, which is how he got the nickname “Lethal Shooter”.

Dušan Bulut meanwhile is a Serbian professional basketball player who is the former world No. 1 ranked in men’s individualFC089DEC FC3E 4C6F BA05 9C8EC7026DF8 2 3×3 rankings by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). He is widely considered to be the greatest 3×3 basketball player of all time, representing Serbia in 3×3 basketball. He has won two gold medals at the 2012 FIBA 3×3 World Championships in Greece and the 2016 one in China, as well as the silver medal at the 2014 tournament in Russia. At the 2017 FIBA 3×3 World Cup he won his 3rd gold medal for Serbia and was selected to the FIBA 3×3 World Cup 2017 Team of the Tournament.

Team Trace ‘n Chase, representing Greece and led by our PR Manager Tony Moumoglou, advanced all the way to the top-16 where Serbia took a hard-fought win by just one point, 10-9, in an exciting game that went down to the wire!

In the finals, Team Italy withstood early foul trouble to come from behind and defeat Team Japan 11-10 to secure the men’s title, while in an equally enthralling battle for the women’s crown, with the Japanese team withstanding a valiant effort from Australia to win 10-8.
